Vintage “Girasol” Ceramic Plate

€110.00

Hand-thrown in Castilla, this decorative earthenware plate dates back to the mid-20th century. Unlike most antique and vintage Spanish pottery, this plate bears the studio’s mark.

Painted by hand, the lively sunflower design in the center of the plate mirrors the stylized floral pattern on the border where each plump petal is filled with a colorful palm frond.

Though blue dominates the decoration here, pastel maroon, brown, yellow and green appear as accents.

Dating is based on the painter's initials on the back.

Dimensions: 23 cm in diameter x 4.5 cm deep

Hanging your decorative plate: A small incision in the foot of the plate allows for hanging. Our heavier items like lebrillos require a wall mount.

Kindly Note: Small chips and discolouration are part of the charm of handmade antique and vintage pottery. For questions or specific sourcing requests, please get in touch.
