This Green Granada Fajalauza Lebrillo With White Border features the pomegranate or granada, the emblem of its namesake city.
In keeping with our Fajalauza style of ceramics, the bowl shows all-over decoration in vibrant colors. Decorated in the traditional green over tin-white glaze, this flat-bottomed bowl is a classic in Spanish pottery.
While most of our lebrillo bowls feature a rustic terracotta border, this Granada design has a lovely white rim.
A cherished staple in Andalusian households, the lebrillo traditionally served as a laundry basin or mixing bowl in the kitchen. Passed down from one generation to the next, when damaged by time, the lebrillo was lovely repaired, never discarded.
