Our Granada Fajalauza Garden Pot in green features a fruit and floral motif that covers the entire surface of the pot. A large pomegranate bursting with fruit fills the center of the composition on either side. Swaying foliage spread out over the body of the pot.
Hand-painted in our traditional copper green over white glaze, this terracotta pot may be used as a planter or cachepot. A small drainage hole in the base facilitates watering of plants.
Made in a small workshop with roots in the Fajalauza ceramic tradition dating back to the Moorish time, this decorative garden pot lends a distinct charm to any garden or terrace design.
Like other Fajalauza pieces, this decorative planter has its roots in the Moorish culture that flourished in Andalucía before the 16th century. With a strong focus on sensorial delight, Moorish gardens and courtyards feature an array of colorful flowering plants and fruit trees. Running water in the form of canals and fountains reflects and amplifies this stunning visual display.
Dimensions: 40cm / 15.7in diameter
