In homage to its native home, this Granada Fajalauza bowl features a pomegranate, or granada in the central motif. Winding branches and flowers splay out across the interior of the bowl. Palm leaves decorate the exterior of the bowl. Hand-painted in cobalt blue, the design stands out against the stark white glazed surface of the bowl.
Using 500-year-old techniques, local artisans continue to make each piece by hand, much like their forebears did.
Though suitable for the dining table, large round Fajalauza bowls are also used as decorative accents in interiors. This large bowl with its globular form and round foot makes a charming centerpiece in the living room. Hung as wall art, it makes a stunning statement.
Hanging Your Fajalauza Item: A small incision in the foot of the bowl or plate allows for hanging. Our heavier items like lebrillos require a wall mount.
